Dear Church Family,
This is a special Sunday for us where we will come together to focus on our call to not only support missions, but to be missionaries ourselves! While the format will be fun and engaging (We’re doing “American Missionary” a take off on “American Idol”), the subject could not be more important. Jesus has called each of us to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
While we often think of Missionaries as people who go to strange countries in far off places to share about Jesus with people who have never heard of Him, but we are all called to be missionaries right here in Kenosha County. This Sunday we will have many opportunities to find out how we can get involved in missions around the world, but all of us can be inspired by what is going on around the world to ask God how we can be missionaries right here. Please pray and ask God for Him to reveal to you what mission field or fields He is calling you to get involved in.
Please pray for our church this month. Please pray for the Elders as we meet to ask God where He wants to lead our church. Please pray that God would specifically lead us to the next steps He wants us to take to put our Community Center into action to bring the Kingdom of God to our world one life at a time.
